How do I view my local guide badges (and their progress) in 2021?

Hey guys, I’ve been at this Local Guide thing for a while, but then took a break while in college. Now that I’m back, the interface has changed and I can’t find my badges where they used to be. Did they get rid of badges? Or am I just dumb and not able to find them?

*Note that I’m talking about badges for Google Maps Local Guides, not Local Guides Connect badges

Hello @inund8 , Yes you are right. The interface has changed. To find the badges follow these steps.

  1. Open Maps on your mobile
  2. Tap Contribute from the lower right corner of the app
  3. Tap ‘View your profile’
  4. Now tap on your profile photo/ name or on the small right sign at the top of the screen.
  5. Now you will see Local Guides badges along with all other contributions stats.

Hi @inund8

Please be aware that the Google Maps badges can not be found on a Desktop computer. They are only available in the mobile apps.

In the mobile apps hit Contribute, then See contributions then tap on your profile picture and the badges will show up above your contribution stats.

Thanks for the help. I’m not a fan of it only showing on mobile only (Because WHY?) but whatever, that’s out of my control lol.
