Extensive street works started in one long boulevard in Belgrade (Serbia) which has been closed from two days ago and will be for the next couple of months, causing heavy problems to the traffic. Of course, Google Maps still provides the directions through it, since it has not been marked as closed. I tried to report it as instructed here, but all I get is the popup that says “We cannot fix map issues in this region yet.
Any solution (do not rely on formal institutions like infrastructure owner or road works company, since they never care to submit formal info to Gmaps)?
As I explained earlier to Psamal, Google does not allow users to report this type of features, you need to post this issue in the Google Maps help forum so it can be brought to the attention of Google employees there. Please, provide photographic evidence of the name change.
I am having a problem when I edit, add or correct anything as it instantly says “not applied” never in progress or anything. A few people are having this issue and no one responds or helps us. Can soneone from Google please reach out and help me with this issue as I am a trusted guide lvl 7 almost 8 over 2m photo views and an active guide.
I really need to add a few places that I tried with all the information, proof, photos and all and they keep getting instantly denied.
Hi @PeterUliano , the ‘Not Applied’ message you get after making an edit is due to insufficient information from the edit you submitted. This means that the submission you made could not be sufficiently verified. When submitting an edit, include all necessary details such as website (if applicable), phone number (if applicable), photo showing the name of business or important identifier of the place, opening and closing time, correct name and address as well as correct pin location. This will ultimately speed up the verification process.
Some edits can be instantly verified and approved once made while some could take a while to be verified, please be patient.
@Mayford I understand that I am filling all of the information: phone number, address, website, pictures etc. I have been doing this for years now but the problem is now everything is instantly denied and never even pending. No matter what I do its “Not applied” at all. I have filled out more information, every field filled but still the same.
It has to be a glitch or an error with my account but I can not get in touch with anyone to help me on this matter and my concerns both here and on the maps feedback form go unasnwered and never responded to. Other users are now reporting this issue as well.
@PeterUliano , in this case, it’s possible your account has been flagged for edits. Usually, accounts are flagged for making edits in locations different from their original location or making edits with incomplete or wrong information. All your subsequent edits will not be approved.
Do tag any of the Googlers so they can look into the account and help resolve the issue.
I’ve been trying to update a business’ phone number to their correct one. They have my personal phone number listed and I’ve been trying to remove it as I have no affiliation with them. Every time I try to edit or remove my number it keeps getting denied “not approved” and unable to be ‘verified.’ I even try to post a screenshot of their correct info directly from their website.
Can someone help me here? I just want my phone number removed from the business.
Thanks for reaching out to us. The best thing you can do, to report the wrongly submitted phone number for this location on Google Maps, is to suggest an edit. Please follow the steps in the previous link.
The most likely reason it is rejected is because you are trying to replace a local number in area code 310 with a phone number in area code 773 that is for Chicago. Google prefers local phone numbers for business listings on Maps although I have no idea how your phone number got in that business listing
The business listings are verified, have you tried to contacting them on the Chicago phone number to let them know of this issue with your phone number?
If you do not feel like calling them, it would probably best if you ask for assistance in the Google My Business help forum, somebody there should be able to escalate the matter to the GMB employees to straighten out the situation and check on this moving company to see if they are legit.
I’ve tried to contact them directly through email and even Yelp. They said they’ve contacted Google but they haven’t and haven’t heard from them since. I think what happened was they probably disconnected that number and then I got assigned the number with my new phone service.
In the USA phone numbers are typically recycled in 90 days, but I am guessing the turnaround could be quicker in big urban areas if there is a shortage of numbers.
I reported few but don’t know why it is taking so much time. https://goo.gl/maps/qNct9WLkADi5RfgK7 The name of this place is Xperia Mall which is written well in Hindi. But Someone changed it in English. I don’t know How someone can approve this. I think for such cases Google Guide help should be taken. As they are well aware of such cases.
This is just useless. Google is never listening to us. Every time I do a report for a misplaced or missing road, they just never apply anything. Sometimes the road is just so wrong on the map, clearly visible on satellite picture and even Google cars did Streetview here to see where is the road but nope, they do nothing. Instead, they remove the Streetview panoramas (nice job wasting money sending car to remove panoramas after) and ignore all our requests. What’s the point of this? You have people doing your job for free and you won’t even care.
As a Local Guide, these are the procedures you have at your disposal to report issues on Google Maps. Please make sure to follow all instructions listed in this Google Help Forum article.
