How do i post panoramic views on google maps and make the appear in the designated set up?

Hi everyone,

I need advise on how to post on google map post panoramic views i have on taken and make them appear where they should(i.e in the folder or home page of the applicable business set up).I recently put a new business on the map and it has been approved.During the set-up, i took a few pictures and video of the location.I later took a 360 degree view. The video and pictures have been successfully uploaded and it’s showing in the page or folder of the business. The pictures, video and panoramic views appears in the “photos” section of my contributions as well. However, when i check the picture gallery of that particular set-up, i see only the pictures and the video and not the 360 degree shot. Any help would be appreciated

Secondly, i also noticed that when set-ups are approved, the panoramic view displayed by google on the set-up’s home page is an old version and not necessarily the current 360 degree shot. How can this problem be fixed?

Many thanks

Hi there @pbaddoo

From what I understand with 360° photos is they will show up if uploaded via the Streetview app and approved by Google Maps.

The app allows you to take panoramic shots with the camera on the app or to import your own 360° photos.

Once you’re happy with your shot/s you can then add the location and publish it. It will then upload to Google Maps and takes about a day or two to get approval.

If it is approved it will then show up under the specified location on Google Maps.

Hope this helps.

Much love

Hi @pbaddoo as @LeeBee-SA mentioned, 360 photos can not be uploaded or published directly from Google map, you need to use Street View app to do that from your mobile device which is smartphone see this link on how to do it Create or import 360 photos for this to be possible you will need a Street View ready camera or your mobile phone. The link provided above shows all the steps and options.

On how this can be done without external street view ready camera by using only your smartphone, see this link from YouTube Create a 360 Degree Panorama Photo with Google Street View App. I hope this will be useful to you. Thank you and see you around!
