Thanks for the information
Hi @hasinthawera ,
Just a kind reminder, you can tag Connect members in your posts by writing @ before their name. This way they receive a notification and know that you are trying to communicate with them directly.
Hi @DeniGu ,
I am using my own content from my blog. I dont know why those post are getting removed. I can use my blog content right??

Hi @AkhilGarg91 ,
We encourage Local Guides to share photos and content they made especially for Connect. I agree that the photos and the content are yours, but they appear in your blog, too. Also, sharing the URL to your blog in every post can be considered self promotion, which is against our Local Guides program rules.
Hi @MoniV ,
That doesnāt make any sense that I cant post content from my blog (I dont know how it violates any guideline of the program). I can remove link though.
@DeniGu I found your post incredibly useful. As a teacher, I face this problem daily; students using other peopleās information and material as their own. Itās important to show learners from a young age what plagiarism is and provide them with the necessary guidelines to become responsible digital citizens so they can eventuallly turn into ethical local guides.

Hi @AkhilGarg91 ,
As mentioned before, we encourage Local Guides to post their own content, which is made especially for Connect.
The reason why some of your posts have been removed is that they have been taken as self-promotion, or copied from another source. I can see that your content is genuine and not copy-pasted from a different source. However, in order to not be taken as self-promotion (which is against Local Guides program rules too), Iād advise you to refer less to external blogs (where your full informative article is posted) and post as much original content as you can on Connect.
Great. Thanks for informing ahead. Take care. With lots of love from Calabar, Nigeria.
Thank you @DeniGu for this valuable post. I also going to bookmark this post. I sent this link to my friends in connect. This post make every one acknolaged how to write a good post on connect.
I have used few pictures for Local Guides Connect, which i have downloaded from Google.
And i am really not aware of it, that this is violation of rule.
I really regret for the same and i am requesting all the Local Guides, not to use downloaded or others stuff.
I am removing few pictures from Google maps also.
Thank you @LilyanaZ for alerting and helping me to do things in right way.
This incident should be a lesson to all the Local Guides.
If this helps a single one also i will be very happy.
