I have 2600 points in my contribution.But my points were decreased to 2170 something suddenly.How I get my points.My lots of works were lose.Pease help me mam?

Hi @kgloganathan ,
If you delete your activity for any time frame, your answers to questions in Google Maps will also be deleted. As a result, the points you received for those answers will be removed.
You can manage your activity settings by visiting My Activity and you can find more information about this in the article above. Thank you.

I finally reached Level 8 in July/Aug of 2019 and then I checked today on my points level and I am back down to level 7? It took me almost 1 year to get my level 8 badge and I am wondering where I lost all the points? Any help would be appreciated.

Can you please tell us on which contributions you see a point reduction?
Points, levels, and badging can help you in this
Also please note that “Points may be deducted if your contribution is determined to be in violation of our content policy**. Contributions that violate our policies do not count toward your Local Guides level.”

Same happened to me - I dropped 13k points, from almost 41k down to 28k. And I can pinpoint it - it’s almost all due to my reviews not counting: it still shows my way more than 1,000 reviews, but says in the point stats I submitted 6 reviews only and 0 ratings - what’s going on?

Moderators only move posts etc. They aren’t tech support.
They are unable to help and dont have any information about the consistent bugs.

Hi @WaweruM
This is an issue reported by many people, probably related to some synchronization issue in the databases. In fact as I can see all your reviews are under your profile, even if not counted.
The issue should ber self solving, but you can also try to force a logout from Google Maps, clear the cache and login again, to try to force the database to reload the data

I did a new check, and I see your points are dropping down more, and your answer are dropped down to zero.
Please urgently check this post, because the issue with reviews is self fixing, but the deleted answer are deleted forever.

Depending of your setting on Google’s My Activity you can delete all activity for the day, or enable 3 or 18 month deletions.
“If you delete answers to questions during any time frame, your answer will be deleted from Google Maps, and as a result, your Local Guides points will be removed for those contributions.”

You will for sure recover your points related to the reviews, @WaweruM , as in this case all the reviews are (as yo can see) visible on your profile, but will not be possible to recover the points related to the deleted answers. Please check your setting on Google’s My Activity

Meaning every time I clear my web Activity I will be losing points. Then I have officially stopped answering questions on Maps. I will just be adding photos, checking facts and reviewing places.

Yes you are right @WaweruM
The answers, to give you point, need to be linked to your profile.
If you remove the activity, it is no longer possible to attribute the point, as the answers are no longer related to you.
BTW, with My Activity you can choose what to delete and what to keep
