How do I calibrate the accelerometer on my phone? Am using Google Maps to find places in Madrid by walking. The blue arrow keeps getting stuck. I need to restart my phone and it works for a while then stops again. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
Hello @Dave26
To calibrate accelerometer please follow the three methods mentioned here. Let us know here if this solves the problem you’re facing.
Thanks!
Hi @Dave26 to calibrate your compass or phone’s location follow these screen shorts.
Step 1
Once you found your self, you have to click on the blue dot, and it will show what you see on step 2.
Step 2
On step 2, from the blue screen showing your profile photo, click calibrate compass appearing on the bottom left of the screen, and that will take you to step 3.
Step 3
Start calibrating your device by moving your hand following what you see on your screen, make sure that your location is set on from your device, and that you are not inside a building, to make sure that everything works 100%. I hope this will help you. Thank you.
Thanks for the link @SaifIS which redirects to Stack Exchange > Android Enthusiasts > How can I calibrate the tilting sensor on Android… The Method 1 does not work because there are no such options on my phone. Method 2 does not work because the link gives a 404 error - page not found. A better app to use instead of Method 3 is this compass app … Thanks for your help!
Thanks @Raphael-Mahumane all these steps work and I have tried it inside a building. I will try it outside in a moment. I like the flag, where do you get them?
@Dave26 Good to know that at leaat one worked
@Dave26 I used the signature feature provided here on local guide connect, and for the flag, I got one from the internet on google search, and combined it with some of the signatures or html links to create my signature(what you see on bellow on my every post). You can create one for your self too!
I am glad you managed to calibrate, if it works in doors there is no need to calibrate outside. Thank you.
I am getting “medium” calibration sometimes only “low” calibration. I have discovered the shake option to give feedback to Google - very useful!!!
