There are places where there are many kiosks or shops that are very near each other. For example, in a bazaar or in a mall, there could be 3 or 4 shops within a certain radius. In this case, Google Maps does not allow me to add a pin near a pin. When I click on a certain spot, it tells me there is already a venue in it. So, how can I add a new place / pin near another pin that could be near it or exactly in the same area but at a different floor?
Good question. I haven’t got an answer by now… I’ll try to find something.
in this case use option “submit anyway.”
Hi @geffchang yes, the best option is the one suggested by @ImNikunj91 to “submit anyway”. There is no way to choose the floor, in a multifloor venue, where you want to add the place.
If you are not able to place it at the exact location, always try to add it to the center of the building.
@ImNikunj91 / @LucioV The problem is I can’t put a pin in that area (on mobile), because it’s full. When I drop a pin, it loads an existing venue/pin. So, I can’t “submit anyway”, if I can’t put a pin in the first place. I haven’t checked if this is the case on the web.
Hi @geffchang can’t believe that it’s so “dense” that zooming in doesn’t help!
Is this really a situation where you cannot drop a pin without hitting something?
Please, can you share this location?
@LucioV Can you try this? https://www.google.com/maps/@10.317584,123.9050114,20.75z
Hi @geffchang just trying to zoom a little more (there is another step available) and finding some free space. Right clicked and started to add a place.
I’m not going to perform an add, can you show me the screenshot of what happens after?
@LucioV Thanks! I could add a venue.
Perfect, let me know if it works!
@LucioV Yes, it worked! Thank you for your help. I guess the pin doesn’t have to be in the exact location.
