Hello @BBM , if you want to replace/rename the caption “default” on your uploaded photos on Google Maps please follow these steps below, I use Google Maps Android as it’s easier for me:
Open Google Maps,
Go to Menu and tap “Your contributions”
Tap the Photos tab
Search the photo that you need to rename/replace its caption
When you find the photo, tap it and then edit the photo caption
When you’re done editing the caption, tap the white paper plane icon to save your edit.
If have multiple photos, you will need to rename or edit their caption one by one. Hope it helps.
I’m afraid that Google Maps is not the appropriate place to post such photos.
Photos added to maps should be added only as addition to a mapped feature. In general the photos should be of that feature or it’s products. For example, a restaurant might have a picture of the front of the building, a couple of interior shots, and pictures of the food. Inappropriate pictures would be of people patronizing the restaurant, the view of what’s across the street, a picture that varies very little from another one that was also uploaded, etc. In other words, the pictures on Maps are intended to tell people about the places on Maps.
Once a picture is associated with a place, the name of that place the appears in the spot you circled.
Another thing to be aware of is that places under construction cannot be mapped. Maps thus is not a place to share pictures of a construction project.
You have also mentioned that the photo you wanted to add a caption to is part of your construction project. In terms of that I would like to remind you that participating as brand, organization or business and not an individual is a violation of our program rules, as it’s important Local Guides contribute content as unbiased individuals.
Thanks @AdriansyahPutera , for giving the practically correct reply to the question.
