This is one of those grand palatial hotels on the ever popular Promenade des Anglais (English Walkway loosely translated) in the ever stunning Baie des Anges (Bay of Angels) in the spectacular city of Nice in the Côte d’Azur (French Riviera).

When you “promenade” along Promenade des Anglais, Hotel Negresco is one of those hotels that stands out. Its history indicates that it was opened in 1913. The views from here into the spectacular turquoise blue Mediterranean sea is unbelievably stunning.

Read up its history and it’s a fascinating story. Of note, during the Nice attack in 2016, Negresco main hall was used to assess the wounded people in the attack.

Does this hotel have some open space for visitors, for those not staying in it? He seems to be wonderful!

Yes @OnTravel , you can visit the hotel bar and restaurant and have a wander around the lobby area. It’s quite spectacular inside. Sometimes the concierge team can help you if you just want to look inside.
