In Greece there are many laws.

Most of them are being followed by our fellow-citizens, some are not. One of the laws that are not followed everywhere, is the one that prohibits smoking of cigarettes, or using the new electronic vapor-cigarettes in restaurants, bars, cafes, malls, etc.

What I love sharing most on Google Maps, are places that have owners smart and healthy-living-oriented enough to NOT allow smoking at their businesses. The reason I love to share those places, is because I believe that we, the Greeks, as almost the whole rest of the World, have the right to enjoy smoke-free indoor environments with our friends and families.

I wish that many of the Local Google Guides in Greece do the same. This way, we can urge all of the owners to see the benefits of smoke-free businesses as soon as possible.

You can support businesses that follow the law, it is probably the only way to force the unlawful stores to change their policy. A website is tracking them and if you find any not listed you can suggest it to them: https://www.akapnos.gr/

When writing a review for any store, smoking inside is a good reason to reduce 1-2 stars from their rating.

https://www.akapnos.gr/ and their phone-apps are a great source to find smoke-free places. I wasn’t familiar with the site. I knew only about the no-smoke.gr site and app. Thank you!
