Hong Kong Science Museum

Adult visitors may find the displays and exhibits there bit too simple but young kids will find them educational and entertaining. Most of the exhibits are interactive and are fun for young kids to play. Young kids will enjoy themselves in playing with the exhibits, like pressing buttons or turning wheels. The kids zone on the top floor are designed exclusively for young kids.

An adult ticket costs HK$20. I highly recommend buying a family annual pass (for a maximum of 4 persons of kinship) which are also accepted in a number of other museums, including the nearby Hong Kong Space Museum and Hong Kong Museum of History.

From time to time, there are special exhibitions. The current exhibition is about the scientific discoveries of Dr. Jane Goodall, who is a very well noted humanitarian, environmentalist, and famous for her works on observing the behavior of chimpanzees in their native habitat.

Opening Hours of Hong Kong Science Museum
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 10am – 7pm
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 10am – 9pm
But box office will be closed an hour before museum closing time.
The museum closes on Thursday.

Admissions are free on Wednesday. There is no restaurant or cafe in the museum, but there are a lot of restaurants outside within walking distance

@InaS

Thanks for asking. I edited my post to include the information on opening hours. It closes at 7pm on weekday (except that it closes on every Thursday) and 9pm on weekend. which I think are quite late and fits the Hong Kong living styles and cultures.

I go there quite often. I got an annual pass.
