I love dessert. And i really love traditional chinese dessert. For me, it is easy to find good dessert shop in other part of Hong Kong but not in Hong Kong Island. The problem is that the rent is too high for a desert shop so Hong Kong Island doesn’t have much choice. Even if there is one dessert shop, it always is a western style / modern fusion style.
We finally found one we like, one with history. Tsui Yuen Dessert
This shop has been running for ages , probably before i was born. The made the dessert/ soup with raw material in a traditional way. Food is a big part of chinese medicine. The chinese dessert always have different health benefit. For example, we order black sesame paste in steam milk custard. It states that it’s good for hair growth. Black sesame paste in Steam milk custard.
I really happy with the dessert. The top is steam milk custard (tender) underneath is the black sesame paste (liquid). Funny.
