Luxurious destinations or high-end or starred resorts still come to mind when talking about honeymoon holiday. I have created a list of popular resorts and destinations in Cambodia for honeymooners, which can be found here. It is comparable to a list of luxurious resorts around Cambodia.
There are 3 popular destinations for this type of niche market:
Sihanouk Ville & coastal areas
Mondulkiri and
Siem Reap
These destinations provide great sense of luxuriousness, comfortable life and especially romantic atmosphere with great view for memorable experiences. Lucky for me, I have stayed and visited many of these resorts but not as honeymooners, as hotel quality inspector or travel adviser only .
Sihanouk Ville & coastal areas: few islands with crystal clear water & white sand with high end quality resorts, such as Koh Songsaa, Koh Russey, Krabey Island, Koh Rong and some island in Kep/Kompot. Some are located at mountain areas with few waterfall surrounding.
Siem Reap: town center with five-star hotels, e.g. Park Hyatts, Phum Baitong
Mondulkiri: beautiful resort such as Moyura resort and Hilltop resort
Please have a look at the Google Map List of resorts in hyperlink above to learn more about each resort for those destinations.
You have sharp eyes @Designer_Biswajit I do like this island too, one of the best, most beautiful and luxurious resort I have ever been staying.
I met a couple who flew directly from Sanghai just to come to this island for their honeymoon. That’s why it inspired me to collect information about great resort for such holiday.
Thank you very much my friend @AbdullahAM I did enjoy these tours and hope to go back sometimes. I was in the honeymoon mood when I was staying at these places. It was beyond words or expressions. Some of my friends were like:tell me which places in Cambodia you haven’t set your foot yet? or like, you are a travel monster, you know everywhere or walk on all the tracks
Every place is beautiful in their own ways @MukulR I cannot tell you which ones I love most. I mean, if you ask me I would recommend all these places. Sunrise at Angkor, or sunbath at the lazy beach or camping at the mountain… so it depends on you, yourself. How much time you have or what do you like to do most. I simply listed up choices or options. When I was staying in Siem Reap, I often woke up earlier for sunrise at Angkor. I love the feeling or quietness - less people visiting the temple at 5am
Thank you for your beautiful comment shared here @BudiFXW . To be honest, when I was there with my friend doing those activities, I was thinking of my boyfriend. It would be a perfect trip when you shut yourself out from outside world. There is no phone reception or internet at all. We even stayed late outside the tent to look at the stars and milky way. What a great place to be.
