History of Natore Rajbari of Rani Bhabani.

In Bangladesh’s Natore, the Natore Rajbari, also called Pagla Raja’s Palace or Natore Palace, was a notable royal residence.
It served as both the Rajshahi Raj family’s home and administrative headquarters. When the famed queen Rani Bhabani moved in, she extended the palace and the estate after the passing of her husband.

One Kamadev Moitra was the Puthia Raj family’s tehsildar in the middle of the eighteenth century. Raghunandan Moitra, the second son of Kamadev, was chosen by the Raja to represent him in the court of Nawab Murshid Quli Khan, who ruled over all of Bengal. Raghunandan was Raghunandan’s Dewan or minister when the Nawab relocated his court from Dhaka to what came to be known as Murshidabad. Ramjivan eventually received the title of Raja and established his administrative center in Natore. Typically, his estate was called ."“Rajshahi Zamindari”.

Kamadev Maitra, a tehsildar to the Puthia Raj family in the middle of the eighteenth century, was in charge of that position. Raghunandan, the second son of Kamadeva, was chosen by the Raja to represent him in the court of Bengal’s tyrant Nawab Murshid Quli Khan. Raghunandan was selected many to be the Nawab’s Dewan or minister and accompanied the Nawab when he transferred his court from Dhaka to what was to become known as Murshidabad. Ramjivan, his Dewan Raghunandan’s older brother, purchased many of these confiscated estates after the Nawab went on to punish zamindars who disobeyed his new rules by losing their holdings. Ramjivan established his headquarters in Natore and was later given the title of Raja. His property was often known as Rajshahi Zamindari.
