Hiking over a Volcano Top

Do you Like to have the chance to hike or walk over a Volcano… Well a non active volcano; you can drive to the top of it and visit the summit, on a sunrise, during the day, or in a sunset. Either way, at that altitude its chill, bring a light jacket. The Haleakala National Park is closed right now because of Covid 19. But I assure you, this trip, most be included on you bucket list in Maui, Hawaii.

Hi , it will take you a while to get to the top and the visitor center. The road is on excellent condition, but is some kind of Sig sag without barriers in the side. Once in the top you can walk on trails and enjoy to be over the clouds, in a clear day you can see other islands. There is a lot of signs that describe the soil and flora of the area. Also there is a small souvenir shop.

Hi @Nosaint2_Rafael_Fe,

very interesting and natural place, looks like there is also a beautiful view from the top … I bet it should be very beautiful on a clear sunny day.

I love Volcano’s, they are special and I’m from Naples (Italy) where we have a currently active Volcano, you might know about the history of the Vesuvius and Pompei.

Below a view of the Vesuvius, I was living just in the middle of this valley and another photo from the top where you can actually walk on the crater and also see the gas coming out.

Have you visited any other Volcano somewhere else?
