HIGHEST MOUNTAIN IN U.S. STATE OF MAINE

Mount Katahdin in Baxter State Park at an elevation of over 5,000 feet is the highest mountain in the U.S. state of Maine. The day I took this photo, I felt it was a striking shot with the fog rolling over the mountain peak and a brush of color from the fall foliage taken from Baxter State Park. #fallphotos #leaveschanging #fall #foliage #fallinmaine nature #autumn #mountkatahdin #millinocket #baxterstatepark #virginiawright #mymaine #mainephotography

The mountain looks so mysterious haha. Is it common to hike that mountain or attempt to do so? @virginiawright

Yes, you can hike all the way to the top. However, I have not climbed it. It is the north end of the Appalachian Trail.
