Is there any simple way we can use Maps to hide all saved places occupying the screen?

No, you will need to “turn” them off one by one in your list overview. Hit the 3-dot menu icon and select Hide on your map for each and every list.
Earlier there was a bug turning the showing on repeatedly. But this seems to be fixed now.
