Hidden old outlaw fortress in Bohemia

Hello friends!

I would like to post some pictures I took when I was in marvelous location of Drábské světničky
in the magic landscape of Příhrazské skály in Český ráj (or Bohemian Paradise) in North Czechia.

Roomed rocky pillars in the forest, connected with the suspension bridges – real Robin Hood dream :slightly_smiling_face:

I heard, the etymology deals with the old word “drab”, meaning “to rob”, “to plunder”. It should mean, that originally this complex was built by some creative forest robbers. Everyone who read “Red Sonya” by Astrid Lindgren could now imagine such a bandit-lair very vividly :slightly_smiling_face:

In addition to the benefits of impeccable fortification, there is an excellent view of the trade road.

In early XV century it is claimed to be a Hussite rock-cave-fortress.

It should had been the Taborite fort, I guess.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this,

let me know what do you think! :relieved:
