I love to go on short trips in and around my city be it to travel all by my self or with a bunch of my friends, and whenever I visit any place i always want to try out the local hidden Gems of that particular place, the local cuisine or the way they make or serve a particular dish. As in these modern times these places over a period have been rubbed off and not many people are aware about them, but I can vouch for the taste and the overall experience you can get by just being there.
Once such place which I can recall promptly is the small breakfast joint next to a busy street petrol pump in the heart of the city called Pune!!
This guy has a very small set up, and serves the best local breakfasts like Poha, Upma, Sabhudana Khichdi (must try) and Sheera. He is available only till the stocks lasts usually 2-3 hours. What makes this place unique is the way the entire food is prepared as its simple yet delicious and savory.
One more such encounter is of a place named âPandhri Pulâ which is about 150 km from Pune towards Aurangabad. Now this entire place is a small village which serves a local evening snack called âBhel Bhattaâ, While travelling we usually stop by Big Coffee shops and neglect such places by the look of it.
and I love to explore and find out more such places as they still add a lot of charm to the city and have many tales to tell.
