Dear moderators, I have a problem with my location map under my posts. I live in Dublin, a few weeks ago I was visiting the west of Ireland, however I am now 2 weeks back in Dublin but now the maps under my posts are still saying I’m in the west of Ireland and I can not change city. I asked advice on general discussion last week and some people offered advice, one person replied to me saying they did some testing and I am correct there is a problem. Anyway today I see my map under post still says I am in the west of Ireland and not Dublin where I really am. I am always hoping that another guide from Dublin will contact me but if they see my map they will think I am 3 hours away. I just thought I would mention it now on new, Help Desk. Thankyou so much

and then refresh your location. You will solve the problem.

the location showed in the map under your post is the one that you indicated when writing the post, in the Location Field
That location is related to the specific post. E.G.: If I write a post about New York, I will choose New York as the location of the post.
This is not related with “where you are” now.
If you want to change your setting (e.g. if you move in another country for a long time) to receive notifications about your new location, you can change it in here: https://maps.google.com/localguides/home/settings
No, I was not writing about a location I was on holiday/ in a different province mayo but now I’m back in Dublin my posts are saying I’m still in mayo not Dublin. I’m talking about sometimes when I do a post a map of where I come from comes up underneath that post. A moderator told me last week that I was correct. I was just reminding them that it is still a problem because they thanked me for pointing out the problem
The map under the post show the location that you insert in writing the post @Eire27 , as indicated in the screenshot that I posted for you.
Can you be so kind to paste in your reply in here a link to the post mentioned by you, in which a moderator told you that there is a problem with your location?
Or just tell me the title of your post, to locate it

That link is to change your “home” position. It is mostly used for receiving notifications about promotion in the place where you live, so don’t make sense to change it if you move for a vacation, or in the same country.
Hi @ErmesT I didn’t actually do anything to my phone settings it just changed itself I noticed when I was on vacation that I went on connect and a map of the town I stayed in came up under my post. Maybe NY phone is crazy! Anyway I think its OK now
