Hi everyone,
This is my second post here, so I thought I should introduce myself a little more.
I’m Guru from Bangalore, India. I like to walk around with my phone and capture small moments — a shop’s entrance, how light falls in a cafe, a busy street at 6pm. I started uploading those short clips to Maps just to remember places, didn’t think much about badges.
On 19th September I got a notification that I earned the Expert Director badge. It was a nice surprise.
Looking back, I think what helped was just being consistent. This month I had a 3-day streak, and on most days I added something small when I was out. No big setups, just what I saw.
I’m still figuring out how to shoot better videos for Maps — what length works, what people actually find helpful. So I would love to learn from you all:
• What kind of videos do you find most helpful when you search a place? • Do you prefer silent clips or ones with a little ambient sound?
If you have any tips, please share. And if you are new like me, happy to connect and share what little I’ve learned so far.
Thanks for reading.
Guru
