“Hela Bojun Hala” is serving quintessentially Sri Lankan local food at subsidized prices. Though Srilankan local foods used in their home, it’s commercially introduced in the name of “Hela Bojun Hala”
which translate as Traditional Food Court.
The first “Hela Bojun Hala” opened at kandy in 2006 and scattered across the island rapidly by attracting locals and specially foreigners. It’s serving healthy foods as well as empowering rural women through food and agriculture, almost most of the chef in the outlets are woman.
The art of srilankan food making process by the hands of expert woman can be seen by your naked eyes and taste instant hot food by visiting the outlets. Here some google maps links of available “Hela Bojun” outlets I visited.
