Offal’s locally called “Ebyenda” which is basically cow or goat innards is a Ugandan delicacy commonly eaten for breakfast in a mixture of green bananas.
The large and small intestines are saved and cleaned out completely boiled or fried to make a hearty soup especially craved by pregnant women.
However offal soup cuddles quickly so its always better to eat it piping hot.
If you didn’t tell me what it was I ight try it @desree256 but just thinking of it ascow or goat innards especially at breakfast time is somehow causing a road block in my brain. It’s funny how we are so conditioned when it comes to food. It’s very much like eating testicles of bulls, lambs and even roosters and turkey in different parts of the world. I just can’t seem to do it. Am I a woz @desree256 ?
@AdamGT you what’s ironic? For us, knowing exactly that they are intestines makes it even more delicious. I’m sure you’d love it though the texture would be a dead give away. You ain’t a wuss just not used to it.
Exactly @desree256 it is just the idea of it, the thought, oh my goodness. But I’m learning a lot from our LG brothers and sisters here about the different foods that are eaten. Look I am sure that if I was in an isolated place or situation and starving I would eat intestines and even testicles for that matter. I would however have to close my eyes
