Projekt Heart Runner is a App control health project which manages to find the person closest to a heart defibrillator and send this person to the person in need very much faster than an ambulance can get there.
We see this very good project in Denmark as it is for now and we hope to see this all over the world as this is a true lifesaver. We fount that if the runner have a traffic vest with the runner logo the people on site will give room to the runner so to say.
The database is maintained so only AEDs that are serviced as recommended are listed. And the 911 responders has access so they always can inform where the nearest is located.
But most importantly the volunteers are alarmed via SMS as soon as they need to run and pick up an AED and the SMS will inform them where to bring it.
It is just so ironic that Google Maps are not adapting this by providing a category for AEDs or at least accept that such databases are mirrored to Google Maps.
