Well as I am drafting this blog, there are more than 1 million cases of COVID 19 around the world and more than 50,000 people have lost their lives. By know, we all know that this is a serious issue and we all have read mostly all the articles about it to keep ourselves updated and survive this pandemic. It’s a well-known fact that it is more harmful to the people who have a weaker immune system, as it has been told to us that the Virus attacks our respiratory system, coz of which patience finds it difficult to breathe and hence are put on Ventilators.
So here I am with a Lil bit experience of mine to tell you few tips and teach you few tricks on how to keep yourselves safe and healthy during this crazy and chaotic time. I am not a doctor but a simple human being who works in the Hospitality industry, who serves drinks to the guest and helps them forget about the pains dn bitter truth that is there in the world. So let us begin.
The 1st drink I am going to share with you guys is Water. yes, you heard it right, Water. Drink lots and lots of water. especially Hot water. it is very good for health, if you add lemon juice to it and have it in the morning as soon as you wake up on empty stomach it’s very useful, helps in weight loss especially. I would also record having hot milk every day and if you can add turmeric powder to it, nothing like it. it is one of the best immunity booster you can get, cheaply available and abundant in nutrients. Now I can imagine that you can fall short of milk due to lockdown, no worries, even if you add Turmeric to Hot water and gulp it down its a good source of energy. also you can add Ghee to hot water and have it early in the morning, it majorly provides almost all the essential nutrients the body needs.
2nd drink is Detox water, now as we all are in lockdown most of us don’t have access to our daily supplies which also included cigarettes and alcohol, so what we can do is we can cleanse our body and get rid of all the toxic things that are there inside our body. which can be done with the help of Detox water, its very simple to make and can be made with things available in your daily kitchen essentials. so detox water is made from fruits or herbs soaked in water overnight and then drinking that water the next day. like watermelon and rosemary, Thyme and Orange, Lermon and Mint, mint and Watermelon and the list go on you can add black current, recurrent, apple, cucumber and so on and so forth. Detox water absorbs basically all the nutrients in and you are just having nutrient water with flavors in it.
3rd Drink and the most amazing beverage I am going to share with you people is known as Khaada, it is one of the best beverage I have come across and this is a century-old recipe, this is a something which has been a big part of Indian culture and this drink is one of the favorites of our Grandma. so this drink includes only water, Ginger, Whole spice (clove, cinnamon stick, star anise). so what you do is you keep water in a pan and put it on the stove, let it heat, put crushed ginger in it and then whole spices in it let it simmer and let the water absorb all the flavor and nutrient in. To give you an idea if you add 3 glass of water, let it boil till it gets down to 1 glass and then strain it and have it lukewarm, to change the flavor you can add honey before you drink.
