Hi @travelbyjp thank you.
Regarding toilet with multiple buttons, you are not alone Because I did the same too on my first experience with that toilet. I can not remember when and where, but it was many years ago
Hi @travelbyjp thank you.

Hahahhahah that’s so funny ya Mbak @doc_dells
Interesting @doc_dells , I never know or never tried to know about the history of toilets, but that was very first time when I know such interesting info, when I read each and every word of your post and gained so much knowledge.
Recently I visited the northern area of Pakistan like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan , toilet situation is satisfactory there if we are using toilet of any restaurant, hotel , shopping mall or tourist attractions, but still we need more toilets at public places, especially for females. But I hope gradually situation will be better as the other things are going better here.
Thanks for sharing such a great post Doc.
Hi @KashifMisidia glad that you find this useful. And thanks for sharing the story from your country.
Thanks for posting, @doc_dells .
My late professor always said you can quickly judge a restaurants quality by taking a peek and sniff at the toilets!
If we had access to detailed statistics on places we have added to Google Maps I think toilets will be at the very top of my list.
I too try to add photos of toilets to Google Maps. Always from the outside. Maybe I should start peeking and sniffing inside also
Cheers
Morten
Hi @MortenCopenhagen “quickly judge a restaurants quality by taking a peek and sniff at the toilets”: well said!
Another good thing for almost two years about wearing a mask is being more productive in my peeking (and sniffing) activities
cool post mbaaa @doc_dells … I have been taking some pictures of clean, unique and cute toilets as well whenever I got the chance. Like the one in Bali with all the fun quotes! I guess @travelbyjp knows exactly what I am talking about LOL. At the UN, we do celebrate World Toilet Day and you are right, TOILETS DO SAVE LIVES!
We sometimes don’t think much about it because we are so lucky to have access to clean toilet anytime we want or need. Millions of people out there re not that lucky! How toilets can save lives from hygiene issues and health problems as well as sexual harassment and violence!
I have written the commemoration of World Toilet Day at the UN back there in 2014, where a giant inflatable toilet was installed in front of the UN HQ in NYC.
Some statistics are obviously out of date but the same danger and concerns stay. Here’s the link:

Well, frankly speaking, I personally have no issues with this awareness raising campaign post involving toilets. The photos being displayed are also the clean ones. Hearing and reading many references regarding the urgent needs and the importance of ensuring access to clean, healthy toilets, I guess this post will help raise the awareness needed.
So I applaud your post and hope we have more similar important awareness raising materials like this.
I loved this saying and it made so much sense. You shared a great word.
@MortenCopenhagen
Yes Mbak @indahnuria …
Wow I like that giant inflatable toilet picture mbak !
Thank you mbak @indahnuria visiting my post and your support on this *So, sorry baru response
Betul banget mbak. One of topik yang penting dan menjadi concern did seluruh dunia.
Wow mbak @indahnuria how come I missed this great post . Thank you for sharing. I hope one day I can visit NY again.
Talking about the Giant Toilet at the UN office, I remember the Giant Chair also at the UN office in Geneva yaa
that giant toilet is indeed attracting people @travelbyjp … and it’s important to raise awareness
no worries mbaaa @doc_dells … memang aku juga ngga konsen minggu ini. Baru tiba di kantor baru soalnyaa hehehe
this giant toilet was only for temporary mba @doc_dells … but the broken chair in Geneva is permanent. Oh my, I miss that city, the birthplace of Obi my daughter as well as the HQ for WHO and so many UN Agencies
@indahnuria yupe … I missed that city too, was there on 2016 (interesting story during Geneva traveling
)
