Although Thailand is undergoing a devastating third wave of CoVid 19 nothing can take away from its epic beauty. My wife and I have been travelling to Samui since 1998 and married here in 2004. Come and visit when you can

Hi @White_lover_althuz

Thank you for sharing about Idukki. It would be great if you can tell more about your experience at Idukki. I have been to Munnar several times which is around 60kms from Idukki and it’s is an amazing hill station. I have never been to Idukki but would love to visit it someday. Also, you may need not to write in three languages since Translate option is available in the page and anyone can translate to respective language while reading it. Wow !!! These are stunning and amazing sunrise and sunsets photos. I like them, thank you for sharing them on conenct.

I haven’t ever shared any of such on the maps but thank you for the reminder. I might look out for them hence. Taking photos does always poses some challenges in these parts of the world. There is the need to always be careful or very discreet because of the security situation in these parts. Even at that a nice photo like sunset or sunrise requires some skills which I may not have :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Kind regards.

Cheers

Indeed @KlaudiyaG everyone loves a beautiful sunset and the examples you have shown by @mockata2 , @jayasimha78 , @MaxWalsh , @Erik_van_den_Ham and @LegendaryDad are just perfect examples. Let me share one of one favorites here and if you will excuse me as it’s late here down under, I will write about it tomorrow. In the meantime, it’s great to see a new sunrise on this topic.

Edited:

Having travelled extensively I’ve seen many sunrises and sunsets and whenever I see a nice one, and lets face it most of them are, I have to take a snap. So I must have hundreds and hundreds of sunset and sunrise photos and I have shown some of these before here on Connect like this one taken while sailing on the calm and beautiful Éternité River in Quebec, Canada. Just to give you the feel of this place, this river flows into Eternity Bay at Rivière-Éternité, in the Le Fjord-du-Saguenay Regional County. Now doesn’t that just sound so amazing.

and just to share one more example, this one of the icy cold arctic waters, cloudy sky and the Midnight Sun on the horizon at the ‘Top of the World’ (North Cape).

However, it’s the sunset shown in my cover photo that I like most. It’s taken here over Port Phillip Bay in beautiful Melbourne, Australia. I just love the silhouette effect of the dark clouds and foreground.

MY BEST TIP for taking sunset pictures? Well I’m just a hobbyist photographer and the way I like to take photos is not to use any filters or photographic editing. I’m a just a point n click photographer.
