HATTA : A weekend getaway plan

Sudden plans are always the best ones. A location that can be explored in half-day is even better for the night owls who are lazy to start an early day on weekends (Ones like me). This was our criteria while planning a trip during EID holidays and we found a place that exactly fits our requirements “HATTA”.

A crazy family that loves water as well as mountain, two extremes right but luckily Hatta has it all. Our first destination was “Wadi al Khor”. Luckily it was raining the previous day hence there was the flow of fresh water in the wadi. We played there for hours until our stomachs started grumpling.

After a short tea break, our next destination was Hatta dam. The perfect time to visit is during sunset. The colors in the sky are just spectacular and the view from there is nothing less than paradise with all the lighting around the water body.

I will stop my words and let the pictures speak for themselves and capture the true beauty of this hidden gem

Hello @Aswathy_T_Krishnan

Welcome back to Connect after a long time :handshake:

Indeed the pictures at the dam are spectacular, especially those at the dusk.

Did you visit here recently?

Do the huge lights in the mountains in the first photo serve any purpose or are they there just for decoration?

Inviting you to introduce yourself to the local guides community and get to know other local guides by commenting on this post.

Hello @TusharSuradkar ,

Really happy to be back to connect. I recently visited this place. The lights are for decoration, UAE is very good at creating sightseeing locations.

I am Aswathy T Krishnan, an MBA student. Due to the current pandemic staying in Sharjah, UAE along with my parents. I love traveling and exploring new restaurants and cuisines. I plan on overcoming the regret of not being active in Connect by writing about my experiences and helping my fellow Connect members in my locality to experience the same.
