Happy U.S. Flag Day: A Glimpse into History at the Betsy Ross House! 🇺🇸

Hello everyone!

Regarding the upcoming Flag Day celebration in the United States :us_outlying_islands: (this Saturday, June 14th), I’d like to share my experience of a historically important place in American history: Philadelphia. The Betsy Ross House is located right there in Philadelphia, where she lived and worked. Betsy Ross House :derelict_house:

According to multiple accounts, Betsy Ross is credited with designing and making the first American flag. Daily tours of this house explain Betsy’s role and the timeline of her history in detail. This tour is very interesting and educational! If anyone has the opportunity to visit Philadelphia, don’t hesitate to take advantage of it and check this place out!

Do you have a favorite historical landmark related to your country’s flag or founding? Share it in the comments!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! See you soon!

Hi @marcorp Thank you for sharing this wonderful post just in time for Flag Day! :united_states:

The Betsy Ross House is indeed a powerful symbol of American history, and it’s great to hear how engaging and educational the tour was. :classical_building::sparkles:

In India, one of my favorite flag-related landmarks is the Red Fort in Delhi, where the Prime Minister hoists the national flag every Independence Day — a moment filled with pride and emotion. :india:

@NandKK Hi there! Yes, going to Philadelphia opens the door to several historical moments and landmarks in the history of the United States, and Betsy Ross’s house is a must-see spot for sure.:white_check_mark: It is pretty awesome to know about this place in Delhi as well. Is it close to where you live?

Yes, I’ve been to Delhi many times! Currently, I’m living in Kolkata — which also has a rich historical charm of its own. Since Kolkata was the capital of India during much of the British colonial era, you’ll find countless monuments and heritage buildings here too. A paradise for history lovers! @marcorp
