The New Year celebrations have come to an end in this part of the world, however, we keep celebrating in our hearts or at any free moment that pops up .
I spent my holidays at the waterside. From the swimming pool at the hotel to the beach and back.
Well, I spent my holidays in my village, as a ritual, we travel to the east (of Nigeria) every Christmas. It is an opportunity to meet old friends, family members and kinsmen. The Yule tide is celebrated for seven days, as people take turns to visit friends and families.
The good thing is that you can go into any home during the seven-day period and youâll be served food and drinks without anyone asking who you are. It is a time to eat and share.
@MAdriel thank you for sharing. I wish you could give more details of the location.
I watched Jara grow from scratch to itâs being the best tourist (beach) site in Lagos.
Looking forward to seeing it grow bigger and better.
Thatâs such a beautiful culture. I love the food part
There are lots of Beach Hotels at this time in Lagos. Itâs superb that you can lodge just by the beach side and indulge yourself all day long. Generally, we swam in the hotel pool and took walks by the beach. Breakfast was complimentary, then we go out for food at nearby restaurants or eat at the hotel restaurant.
