Hi @Theindianroamer

Thanks for posting an outstanding view of the Habba Khatoon Mountain.

Can you tell me the best way to reach there by car? From which place in India you started and any travel tips or precautions to reach there.

Many thanks :+1:

Hello @Theindianroamer ,

Thank you for sharing this beautiful photo with us, was this your first time there?

How far is this place from the closest inhabited city or village?

Did you reach the mountain, or you just saw it from afar? Do you like hiking?

Are there any organized tours with locals and tourists to this area?

Hello @BorrisS Thanks for connecting. Yes this was my first time to Kashmir and it was a solo trip and it was a great opportunity to explore too many place in short time.

You should start your journey from Srinagar, which is the largest city in Kashmir. The Place is situated in the outskirts of Kashmir. The Distance from Srinagar to Habba Khatoon Mountain Peak is approximately 150 km.

Route:

Starting from Srinagar to Bandipore road to Gurez Road to Razdaan Pass to Kanzalwan Dawar to Habba Khatoon

Yes, I and my team from Kashmir, we camped overnight next to Habba Khatoon. I just love hiking.

Yes, I have a professional personal tour guide who can take you around other beautiful places in Kashmir.

If anyone is interested to travel, feel free to get in touch with me.

@TusharSuradkar Thanks for your compliments, I started my journey from Srinagar.

It better to have a local guide than travelling by yourself, The Place is located in the outskirts of Kashmir.

I started my journey from Srinagar and its a long journey (Approximately 5 Hrs of Travel)

Bondipore road - Gurez Road to Kanzalwan to Habba Khatoon

You will have at least 5-6 check post, please don’t forget to carry local Government ID Card (Aadhar Card)

It again depends on the military at the check post to permit you pass if there is no problem in that area.

Please confirm with me before your plan to travel to this place.
