Great Wall under water - Huanghuacheng

Two years ago, we visited Beijing and were introduced to this place by some friends. This site is little known because it is 70km from Beijing. But it’s really worth it to come here.
Part of this area of the Great Wall is under water by nearby Lake Haoming and a reservoir. Due to the reservoir dam, the water level rose and part of the Wall became completely submerged.
This is a good place to take photos of the sea of flowers, as well as a great destination for hikers. This part of the Great Wall was built during the reign of Emperor Minh Yongle. Surrounded by sharp mountains and lakes, the crescent-shaped reservoir separates the Great Wall in three places and creates a unique landscape. The scenic area also has a chestnut garden planted by Ming soldiers.

Admission: 8$
Visit from May to November

Hi @Thai_Ngh ,

Thank you for sharing this great post with us.

The photos are wonderful and I hope that some day I will get the chance to visit it as well. Is there a near place where tourists can stay for the night?
