This is the Martessem Mountain Resort located at Tanay, Rizal, Philippines. Driving from Quezon City will take you about more or less 2 hours depending on the traffic on the way. The weather in this mountain resort is cold as it sits 2,000 ft. above sea level.
During my recent visit to the Philippines, I bought a SIM card at the airport and was informed that there are 2 most famous mobile networks operators, the GLOBE and SMART. I asked them which one has the most strongest signal. Everyone suggested to take GLOBE Sim card, so I did. Maybe I should have asked a different question like, ‘Which one has a stronger signal on the mountains’ because when I arrived there, there was zero signal from my GLOBE operated network phone. They told me that if I have a SMART sim card, I can have a signal.
So, no way I can communicate outside of the resort. I cannot call nobody, nobody can call me. I cannot use my phone for internet, in short, my phone was just a camera device.
I asked the staff of the resort if they have a connected WIFI. Unfortunately, that day, the WIFI connection is also broken, as in nothing.
I took everything in a positive perspective.
Sometimes we just need to be disconnected from the outside world in order to appreciate God’s given beauty.
