The next day, I arrived Pumpkin Art Town about 10 o’clock. I thought I was the first customer but I was wrong. Some early birds already came before me. I was a bit hungry but also a bit excited to explore around. So I took time to explore the place while walking to Pumpkin Brown Cafe.
Right after I passed the entrance, there is a resort we can spend a night or more. I asked a staff for more information about it, she said there are rooms for 2, 3, 4 and 5 people. Most visitors come and spend a night on Friday and Saturday. And of course, Saturday and Sunday are busy during the day. So if you would like more peaceful, I recommend you to stay on Wednesday or Thursday’s night.
Next you will see a playground with wooden equipment and sand box for kids. This zone is nice for kids and family. Playing with your kids is one way of spending quality time with them.
There is a souvenir shop right next to the playground. You will find t-shirts, bags, hats, crafts and more in the shop. You can also order a drink in the shop. It is nice that you can keep an eye on the kids while enjoy a drink in front of the shop.
Just a few steps from the souvenir shop, there is an open space for special events. For the day I visited Pumpkin Art Town, there were some children came to sell stuff and donated all the earnings to Operation Smile Foundation.
I walked a bit further and found a space for paid workshops. There are 3 sections for 3 kinds of workshop. They are :- Fiber Art Workshop
- 3D Art Workshop
- Basic Art Workshop
Everyone can attend all the workshops here. If you come with kids, you can also join them. Or if you come with friends, you all can also join the workshops. Just craft your happiness.
For Fiber Art Workshop, you can learn :- Weaving a Cloth
- Making a Tie Dye Cloth
- Sewing a Linen Bag
For 3D Art Workshop, you can learn :
- Making a Happy Farm from play dough
- Making a Piggy Bank from a water bottle
- Making an Under the Sea Picture from play dough
For Basic Art Workshop, you can learn :
- Making Under the Sea Art from papers
- Painting a pot
- Making a Tote Bag
Across from the workshop zone, there is a restaurant called Pumpkin Eatery. This restaurant is close to the playground, open space and workshop zone, so it is a perfect place for families to eat. There is another restaurant, you just need to walk a bit further.
There you go, another restaurant called Pumpkin Spice Restaurant. Actually both restaurants have the same menu, but Pumpkin Spice Restaurant is a bit far from the activity zone and it is more peaceful.
I had my brunch here. And it is Crispy Pork with Chili and Salt. It comes with white rice and topped with fried basil. The flavor is just perfect, a bit spicy and salty, nice smell of fried basil. But I think the crispy pork could be a bit more crispy.
There is a Cactus House near the Pumpkin Spice Restaurant. The architecture of the house is nice and it is beautiful. If you are a fan of cactus, don’t miss this spot.I then walked to the last stop, Pumpkin Cafe. You order your drink at the counter, get a pager and have a seat. They will make your drink outside, at the drink making station. Then they will page you to come get the drink. You then enjoy the drink and the view of Chao Praya river.
I had iced Matcha latte from the cafe. It comes with beautiful layers of milk and Matcha. The Matcha smells so good and it tastes really good with delicious milk. It is so perfect for a hot day in Thailand.
While walking around, I found a cute little thing around the place. It is a Recycle station. There are about 3 or 4 stations around this place. Each station is always next to a trash can. This is a very nice idea and convenient. Before you throw away the plastic cup, you will see the station and you can follow the instruction.
I would like to thank you Local Guide friends if you come to this far together. I hope you like this post and find it useful if you have a chance to visit this place.
