Trust me, this is a sweet dessert and it is made from grass or plant. You can find this in Southern China, Hong Kong, Taiwan or South East Asian country, although this photo is taken in Singapore. It is made from leaves from a plant named Mesona Chinensis, and made into jelly. Normally eat together with sugar syrup, but you can add toppings to it too. In the picture, you can see the attap seeds (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nypa_fruticans), canned longan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longan) and nata de coco (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nata_de_coco) as toppings. Slight bitterness from the grass jelly but goes well with the sweet syrup and toppings.

Hello @JSeng ,
Thank you for sharing this photo and all this detailed description with us.
The Grass Jelly dessert looks very interesting and above all delicious! Personally, I never tried anything like this in my life, but I would love to.
Is it a dessert which is widely served in restaurants, or only in particular places?
