Dear Fellow Local Guides and @TusharSuradkar
I am surprising to know your #goosebumps moment Challenge. My goosebumps moment is when I was standing in front of a GALLOWS at ALIPORE JAIL MUSEUM in Kolkata.
Alipore Jail MUseum is a prison in Alipore, Kolkata, where political prisoners were kept under British rule. It is no longer in operation as a jail, having been shut down on February 20, 2019. The jail site is then developed as an Independence museum in the name of the martyrs who were imprisoned and executed there.
In a tour to Alipore Jail Museum when I was standing in front of the Gallows and seeing the Hanging Rope in front of me I really feel the Goosebumps Moment and thrilled by thinking of the Martyrs hanged there. I was shocked by thinking of the violence they resist. I was standing in between the buildings where the Prisoners stay and the Gallows are in a position such that the other Prisoners could see the Hanging in front of their eyes.
The museum is well maintained and it is a place to feel how we achieve our Independence. Every Young buddies must visit this place. they have a Cafeteria in the Main Entrance to refresh the tourists.
