I started using google maps last year, especially when I moved to a new city for work, without it I would have been lost, I used it to find my way to work to find nearby restaurants for my lunch breaks, I used it during weekends to find activities to do and places to see, but I never thought about sharing or reviewing anything on it until a disastrous day whereas a foodie went to try a new Korean restaurant, it was life-changing experience and by that I mean a very bad unhealthy unsafe experience where I needed to share my sincere opinion to the world to be aware that this place is shady.
This experience made me aware that I can actually be part of a bigger community, I can actually make a difference and people were actually reading my reviews.
i love walking around my old city Fez when I say old I mean a 12OO years old beauty with narrow streets and endless historical places, every time I am there I discover something new and magical from a hidden fountain to a small art galleries hidden in corners to museums that are unknown to mystical bazar where past treasures are being sold, I enjoy adding them and reviewing them so they can show up on the map for people around the world to see.
Highlighting this local small places become a goal for me, it means they are on the map; and being on a map means being connected to the world, it’s a way to encourage the owners to keep on working hard every day without losing hope.
Morocco is without a doubt wonderland full with beauty magic art music, and Fez is full of those wonders and I am trying my best to find them and put them in Googleland so they can be shared and viewed by the world.
