Maybe one of you has some factual news about this (old) topic.
You can still find information in several language sections on G Maps about Google Trusted Photographer.
The only requirement was to upload a mere 50 360° photos. Yet, in 2020 G mentioned they would revamp the whole system. Yet, you can still consult a list of (old) (still ?) trusted photographers around the world.
Has anyone any official source about the current state or future of this concept? Did you overhear a conversation about it ?
Google Street View Trusted Photographer program is On Hold, @Kurt2day , as you can read in Questions about Street View? Read this first : “UPDATE (July 19, 2021): As of July 19, 2021, new enrollments into the Street View trusted program are put on hold. At this time, we do not award the trusted badge to new contributors who’ve reached the minimum number of photos for membership, and do not list new professionals on the for-hire index.”

Thanks, @Kurt2day , it was a sunny day too, here in the north east of Italy, and I spent most of the days taking photos in the Alps
Local Guides and Street View Trusted Photographers are indeed two different programs, and many Local Guides (including myself) are also Trusted Photographers. But while Local Guides is a volunteer program, an SVTP could post be a business (in fact, the ones that you can find in the list are doing this as a business). If you check the link where the author of that post says that “they are two different programs” you will land in How to be a Street View trusted photographer while also being a Local Guide .
In fact it is was ok to be a SVTP with your local guide account if you only contribute for free, and you don’t use your Local Guide account to brand your SVTP services.
