Google Support Forums problem

@MashaPS @AngieYC @InaS @DeniGu
Hi.

For some places that my edit got rejected, i used to provide proof for that edit to Support Forums and they escalated it for approval and it was working, now they’re not responding:

Example of a pharmacy

Hello @Kia_Faraji

You know too well GMB issues should be addressed to the help support page,connect is not the place for this.Nevertheless you will need to tag a moderator if you must get a solution or response to this query,just like the last one. Pleaae kindly tag one of them,seeing you are no stranger on connect.

Cheers

Hi @SholaIB

Please read my post carefully again, i clarified that they’re not replying in Forums.

You’re right about me forgetting to tag Googlers, sorry, i edited the initial post, and i also tag them here in case editing doesn’t notify them:

@MashaPS @AngieYC @InaS @DeniGu

Also one more thing… should i tag all of them or just one?

But about the GMB, Iran doesn’t have access to GMB… yet :wink:

And i’m not just mentioning one place, important though it is; but rather addressing an issue with the whole Support Forums.

You are welcome @Kia_Faraji

I didn’t just realise that detail about the GMB not available in Iran. Sorry about that. It’s good you tagged a moderator, but the rule is it should be one at a time not four of them altogether. Hope you can get your issue sorted out again

@Amiran helped you out the last time,maybe he can also help out again.

Cheers

I’m sorry about your issue, @Kia_Faraji

Unfortunately the Local Guides community and the Google Maps support forum are two different entities.

The product experts in there are volunteers, exactly like the Connect Moderators, so I don’t think Google, especially from a different section, can put pressure in there for them to respond.

If you know some of them, and they are also members of the connect, you can tag them here to check

One only when you tag G Mods.

Pharmacies are since the start of the pandemic made very hard to create and edit. I guess out of safety concerns.

I just gave up on editing pharmacies.

Hi @ErmesT @MortenCopenhagen

One other problem is the place i added and their rivals abusively reported it as permanently closed, i edited it a few times but i was done caring about it and requested a lock or something on it to prevent sabotage in Support Forums here, but someone locked the thread instead!

i also mentioned that specific place in LGC too here and tagged Googlers on that thread, but they didn’t reply.

Oh, that place was probably reported as spam this time and was completely removed.

Hello @MortenCopenhagen

One only egen you tag G Mods.

Maybe that’s a typo in your reply please kindly correct it or what does it mean? I am always interested in this kinds of issues to learn you know. Just to know what’s been discussed in details.

Cheers

Hi @Kia_Faraji ,

Thanks for flagging this. As @SholaIB mentioned, Connect is a place for Local Guides to come together and talk about the program and their discoveries. For Google Maps edits and other Maps-related escalation, it’s best to await the response of the team over at the Google Maps Help community. We appreciate your understanding.

See? That was a Google moderator’s reply…

i said Help Communities are not responding and she says such issues are better dealt with at Help Communities!

Could someone please wake me up from this bad dream!!

@SholaIB

Fixed. “egen” should have been “when”. My Danish spelling check kicked in. :cry:

Thanks for noticing. Please keep reminding me next time it happens.

Cheers

You are mixing up several issues in one thread which makes it hard for others with the same issue to search and find help.

I suggest you make separate threads for new/followup issue/questions. Each with at precise and specific title.

And you specifically asked your peers not to respond!

Kindly also reflect on your attitude. It is not always in line with the value of being respectful and polite. As a volunteer it is not very motivating to help when this is the case.

Morten

PS maybe you should tag @Amiran when you have issues. He knows your culture and understand first hand the challenges related to GBP not being available.

You are welcome @MortenCopenhagen

Thank you for fixing it. I just was following the discussions to learn so as to be able to help others if the same kind of issues arise again with someone else.

Thank you @InaS .

Cheers

@MortenCopenhagen

  • i don’t see anything being mixed in this thread, maybe your mistaking it with two other threads i had today after a long time.
  • i’m not in a position to order others not to participate in my thread, i can only ask, and i have only asked.
  • i requested that in another thread, not this one, and it was respectful, therefore if anyone finds such thing disrespectful, it would be out of his/her own timidity and will certainly not concern me.
  • Politeness and respect in form of flattery and gratitude has no meaning to me, but one example of what i take as impoliteness is that the Google Moderator’s reply here was very superficial even though i recalled that i mentioned her in another thread and even though after a month i didn’t get a reply from Forums, she says i should wait! Instead of taking responsibility as a Googler and escalating this; i personally find many replies and actions to be disrespectful from others and i do mention them sometimes, maybe you can consider this a difference in our definition of politeness and respect, but either way, if you don’t like someone’s way of speaking, you don’t have to reply, everyone should be absolutely free even for cursing i’d say.

Hello @Kia_Faraji ,

I could respond to you in the other forum, but it would just be to tell you that if you didn’t keep the email then we cannot help you. You’ll need to try again, and then if it doesn’t get posted after a couple of weeks please make a new post that includes a screenshot of the email. This is a requirement Google has as too many people attempt to skip the normal processes by claiming to have already done them when they have not in fact done so.
