Hello! I just would like to expose Google as a not-reliable reviews platform. I went to a restaurant in Cologne with some friends a few months ago. The experience was terrible. I wrote a review on Google, describing the whole dinner carefully from beginning to end. My friends did the same. Why? To warn the next people visiting Cologne to stay away from this place. That’s the purpose of writing reviews. The result is that all our reviews have been blocked (probably the owner of the restaurant reported them). Now no one can read about our experience, and therefore no one can know that if you’re a tourist, you’ll be mistreated if you eat in this restaurant. So, thank for nothing Google! Is it a coincidence that the restaurant has 4.5 stars on Google, and only 3.2 on TripAdvisor? Do a better job, Google. You’re not protecting people’s freedom of speech.
Although I have complied with Google policies, my comments have been removed many times. Of course, many of my comments have been removed because I did not comply with Google policies. Obviously, users do not comply with Google policies, but Google does not comply with its own policies either. Many alternative applications to Google Maps have started to appear. For example, Yandex and Waze. Frankly, I see that Google does not have a good future in this context. If I see this as a user, I think that authorized people also see it.
If you think your comments have been removed unfairly, you can fill out the form. My suggestion to you is to request a general review so that all your comments can be reviewed. After the review is completed, you will be contacted by e-mail.
