Google review not visible

Hi Guys!

I posted a review about a local bakery but for some reason it’s not visible to the public. When I log in and click on the photos, it looks like the photos have been viewed but when I log out, I can’t see my own review.

I’ve gone through the review guidelines and the only thing that could possibly apply to me was formatting. I’ve gone back and edited and re-edited but it’s still not visible to the public. My review below:

l love pastries and live about a 10 minute walk away from here so I’ve been able to pop in a handful of times to try a few things and pick up some treats as a gift. Overall, the space is really nice and clean and their staff is really friendly, professional, really happy to tell you about their offerings and their pastries look beautiful. So far, I’ve tried: 1. choquettes sucre (my fave so far!), 2. pasta (a little flat. They also charged me for large but gave me the regular size - I only noticed after I left and didn’t have time to turn back), 3. sandwich, can’t remember what was in it. It was okay. 4. Coffee very good 5. A few different croissants, also very good 6. eclair, 7. macaron, 8. 2 choux pastries, 9. nougat and 10. a flat pastry with feta. The eclair, nougat, choux pastries were delicious but I don’t think the feta pastry was baked all the way through as the inside of the pastry looked and tasted like wet dough. This place has been a hit or miss for me. The feta pastry def put me off. I really want to love this bakery but I only just like it. I’ll give it some time before popping in again (maybe the misses are due to opening during a pandemic or they’re still figuring things out because they’re new) as I do want to try their bread.

Any thoughts on what’s holding back my review? It’s disappointing to put in the effort to contribute only for your review to be held back with no clear or specific reason why.

The length could be an issue.

You could try to rephrase “…wet dough. This place has been a hit or miss for me. The feta pastry def put me off.”

It could also be all the numbers.

Keep testing and you will get there!

It would be really helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.

Your review might not be showing, if you have included any of these in your review: an email address, a URL or dollar or pound signs, or maybe another icon or symbol or special characters “&” “@” “( )” etc.
