Hello @Francisqueen , thanks for reaching out. I think that this article from my fellow Connect Moderator @PaulPavlinovich answers your question: Did you know you can delete your photos after you upload them to save on your storage quota?
In short, the title of the article already clarifies it: after uploading your photo, you can delete it from your storage. Please, make sure to follow Paul’s guidelines.
Regards,
Alexandre
Ciao @Francisqueen , benvenuto in Connect
Hi @Francisqueen ,
I just wanted to let you know that I will move your post to our How-tos section, where Local Guides ask questions and express their doubts. You can read more about Connect’s labels in this article. Please feel free to reach out whenever you have any concerns.
Hi Alexandre, Ermest
thanks for your feedbacks
but I think this is a not-solution
i mean, I do photos for my pleasure and memory, not for google maps. I’m not a google employee
The suggestion to delete photos once given contribution to google maps seems to me a joke (I should support a G product while G is removing means to help this collaboration)
this is an extra job, unacceptable to me
My wish/ask was that google developed a flat storage plan (with fixed price) for localguides but it seems that this is not in their program
i understand that working from PC there’s no impact
i always believed in potential of Gmaps and power of users reviews and in the power of a picture in the review that can summarise hundreds of words but I can assure that my desire to continue to contribute to G product is at a lowest level
consider that I’m also Prime customer so I’ve already have a plan for endless photo storage; my concern is on how G is managing his contributors
Francesco, @Francisqueen
"My wish/ask was that google developed a flat storage plan (with fixed price) for localguides "
Per maggiori informazioni: How do I use the Idea Exchange and what happens to my ideas?

It was not absolutely a comment on your and other kind answers.
i know that this is a community and you don’t work for G
just I took the chance to discuss with other people maybe facing similar issue
thanks for suggestion to use Ideaexchange
I will do
Francesco
