Hello friends,
Since the war started here in Israel google stopped showing all reviews all over Israel.
I noticed that my reviews are not published so I started checking other places here in Israel and surprisingly there have been no new reviews for about 4 months.
I couldn’t find even one business with a new review.
I can’t understand why such a thing is happening and I will be happy to receive an answer or maybe just get it fixed.
Does anyone know this from other places?
Is this normal? or fixable?
My answer would be it’s most probably as a result of the unrest going on. My reason for saying that is that at the heat of the unrest in Ukraine,some functions in maps have were suspended.
Maybe it’s the same for Israel now. Give it time and surely if its not a bug they’ll restore the ratings and reviews.
I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere on connect or even other sources so I can’t recommended any official information to you.
Yes I remember for Ukraine it was a surprise as well. The maps were under threat of spamming etc. So some functions were suspended. Search the forum and you may find them readily.
The block of reviews in Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus was announced. And I believe it happened because the Maps profiles of innocent businesses were used to make political statements for or against the war. Also, reviews were used to communicate across otherwise closed lines of communication. The Maps teams had a lot of work cleaning this up.
Google will normally not comment or tell when such restrictions are expected to be lifted.
