📱✨ Google Maps UI Update on iOS: Photos & Reviews Seamlessly Integrated!

Hey Local Guides!

I recently noticed a Google Maps UI update on iOS, and it’s truly impressive!

:star2: What’s New?

  • Photos and reviews are now elegantly integrated in overview of place, making it visually appealing when exploring a place or venue.

  • But here’s the highlight: Editing and updating operational status (like open/closed status, timings, etc.) has become incredibly smooth and intuitive with this update.

This improvement ensures more accurate and up-to-date information for everyone relying on Maps. It’s user-friendly, visually polished, and enhances the overall experience for contributors like us. :memo::white_check_mark:

 Have You Received This Update?

  • iOS Users: Did you get this update? How has your experience been while updating operational details?
  • Android Users: Have you received a similar update? Share your screenshots and insights - I’d love to see if it’s consistent across platforms!

:rocket: My Take:

This update makes contributing to Google Maps more efficient and visually appealing. A big thumbs-up to the team behind this improvement! :+1:

Drop your thoughts below, and let’s discuss this update together! :speech_balloon:

Wow, this is really cool :sunglasses: update.
It looks like review text is highlighted along with photos.
Waiting for rolling out in android version.

Even on Android the design has significantly changed. The editing options are looking very similar on my Pixel and the pictures in photos and reviews are better arranged but looking different to iOS.

Thank you! Yes, the way reviews are highlighted alongside photos really enhances the overall experience - it feels more seamless and visually appealing.

I hope the Android rollout happens soon; it’s definitely an update worth experiencing. :rocket:

@LudwigGermany That’s awesome to hear! :calling::sparkles: It’s interesting how the design changes are tailored slightly differently for iOS and Android, yet both aim to enhance clarity and user experience.

The better arrangement of photos and reviews on Android sounds like a great improvement too. If you can, share a screenshot - it’d be fun to compare the two versions side by side! :eyes::camera_flash:

Thank you @MathanVibranarayan for sharing screenshots from the Android platform. Suggest an edit section looks similar. While reviews and photos integrated in overview looks better on iOS I think. But hope it will eventually get roll out on Android platform too.
