I am facing an issue with Google Maps Timeline and would like to know whether other users are experiencing the same problem.
As shown in the screenshot, my Timeline records multiple places visited within the same building or nearby area during a single time period. Sometimes, I may have spent less than a minute at a particular place, but it still appears under the main location in my Timeline.
What is working:
When I open Google Maps Timeline and check a particular place, I can see the visit count showing how many times I have visited that place.
For example, City Computers & Enterprises shows 5 visits in Timeline.
What is not working:
When I open the same place in Google Maps and check the “Your history and Maps visits” option, only 4 visit records are showing instead of 5. The most recent visit is missing from Maps history, even though the visit count in Timeline shows 5. I have noticed the same issue with other places as well.
Since multiple places can be visited within the same Timeline time period, I would like to understand whether this is an expected behaviour or a possible bug in Google Maps.

- Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
- Why are Timeline visit records not appearing under “Your history and Maps visits” when I open the same place in Google Maps?
- Could this be related to multiple places being grouped under one main location in Timeline?
