Google Maps showing a different location from the same place

Dear Katie,

I have a doubt about Google. The location at my resident posted by me by the app of the current my handset Huawei, but the location posted by me in computer earlier is little bit different.

Why this location posting by mobile and computer is differ?

Can you explain me in detail per return mail?

You have mentioned the make and model of your phone.

However, can you specify which OS and Browser you are using on your computer?

Nevertheless, a computer may decide the location based on the IP address of the router. Then the location visible on that will be different than the one on the phone.

However, if you use the Google Chrome browser and log into your Google Account, then the difference can vanish.

Hi @MohazinCC

Geo location on a mobile is based on GPS and more, while location of a desktop is based on the IP address which is a lot less precise.

If you share links to the places in question on Google Maps we can take a closer look for you.
