Google Maps: Road Update Issue in Cambodia

While Cambodia’s Google Maps is improving, some features like Add or Fix a Road are still not fully supported in our region.

When trying to update missing roads or road corrections, the message still appears:

“Unsupported region. Your feedback is important to us. We can’t fix map issues in this region yet. However, we’re working hard to make this available in more regions soon.”

This message has been showing for a long time. Features like:

  • Missing road
  • Road name
  • One or two-way
  • Road is private
  • Road closed
  • Road does not exist

are not working yet in Cambodia.

I hope Google will improve this soon because local contributions are key to making maps more accurate.

Steps to Give Feedback on Google Maps

On Desktop:

  1. Open Google Maps and sign in to your account.
  2. Click the Menu (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.
  3. Select Edit the map.
  4. Choose Your opinions about Maps.
  5. Enter your feedback in the provided box. You can also add a screenshot if needed.
  6. Click Send to submit your feedback

Hello @SophatCHY

In my own experience and Opinion on adding roads,if a region is not open to road edits it’s beyond the scope of a local guide.

This is possibly a policy between Google and the government of your own country.

Advise If you are experienced enough on adding roads,why not try adding roads in other regions of the world.

Yes, @SholaIB, thank you so much! I’ve actually added roads outside my country as well, and I raised this issue because some roads in my country have incorrect information. Even when we try to suggest corrections, it doesn’t get updated.

I just wanted to ensure that this issue is acknowledged. Thanks again for your valuable advice!
