Here in Hong Kong, housing developments never use number 4 in house numbers. 4 is an unlucky number in.Chinese. Instead, houses will be numbered without using number 4, for example, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16. Note that 13 is also omitted.
On Google Maps, housing developments are shown with the wrong numbers on the blocks.
My own residence is in a Block 5, which appears on Google Maps as Block 4. The problem gets worse; not only can I not correct the error in Google Maps, the Contacts app gives precedence to the wrong Google information, and will not allow me to correct it in the Contacts app. The result is that the Google error takes precedence over the truth.

Hi @Gousinsaang
Please seek help with this in the Maps support forum.
Hit the Community tab at the top and make a post.
Please be super specific. And share screenshots and some documentation showing the correct numbering at a specific address. Then the next step could be to discuss the need to change how the numbers are assigned for future new developments.
Also, you can provide feedback on this in the Maps app.
Cheers

Thanks for your comment. The information that can be provided is rather limited, consisting of photographs. There is no clear to.provide a description in words unless I take a photograph of the text and submit that.

Give it a try!
It would be very helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply. Just hitting Reply does not ensure we get notified by email.

In China, the number 4 is unlucky. This affects the numbering of houses. The digit 4 is omitted, as is the number 13. House numbers go like this: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26… and so on. Google Maps does not handle this at all. Places appear in Google Maps wrongly numbered as 4 when it should be 5.
My local residence is a case in point. I live in a Block 5. Google Maps shows it, wrongly, as Block 4. The photograph below shows a screenshot of the property management company webpage, which shows the area from Google Maps, and also lists the names of the five blocks as Block 1, Block 2, Block 3, Block 5, and Block 6. However, Google Maps does not recognize this numbering. It does not show a Block 6, which really exists, but it does show a Block 4, which does not exist. I have tried and tried to get this error fixed. Now I give up. It should be this difficult.

Hi @Gousinsaang
I have merged your question to your previous question about the same issue.
My previous reply is still the same.

I have attempted to report the problem as you suggested with both text and photos. The system for reporting map errors will not allow me to.attach a photograph to it. All I can do is correct the wrong information and hope someone takes notice of it.

I suggested you seek help with this in the Maps support forum. There you can attach screenshots and links without any problems. This is where you have the best chances to make the relevant teams aware of the general problem and do more than just fix concrete cases. I believe learning how to help the Product Experts get the info needed to fix concrete cases is the best path to also get the general problem fixed.

PS: You could also make some searches in the Maps Support Forum, as this problem is very likely addressed already.
