Please help!
All of my recent Google Map reviews are bouncing back immediately with the message that they violate policy!
I have appealed them but can anybody tell me why this is happening? How can I fix this?
Thank you

@NNiM it may be possible you have violated the guidelines. Do you review or rate places that you have not visited especially other countries. Google continuously track where we have visited & they save it on timeline. Spam detecting system get activated when other countries place without visit is reviewed.
@MortenCopenhagen Can you please look into this ?
Also kindly move it to different section than travel
I am reviewing restaurants that I have visited.
I dont really see a main tag at the top that is suitable?
This is my first post here.
@NNiM wait for Connect moderator help. They will definitely help you.
Good you have changed the post section.
Ok thank you.
Welcome to Connect, @NNiM , and thank you for asking.
A review can be blocked because the AI is assuming that the text of the review, or one of the attached media, are violating the rules.
In fact I can see that 10 of your reviews and 27 of your photos are not publicly visible.
For review related to places inside the EU when a review is blocked you receive a message: your review isn’t published. By selecting “see more” you will see more details about the reason of the block and, if the review is hidden because of the text, you also have a button to click to appeal.
If the block is due to the attached media, you can remove the media and republish the review. Of the review is then published, you can try to add, one by one, all the media, to see which one is triggering the filter. If the attached media is a video the review can be temporarily blocked, to be automatically released after a few hours.
If the appeal is rejected it means that the text is against the rules. In that case you can edit it, removing the violation for the review to be published.
@NNiM You have very few reviews at least 19 I can see. Maybe you have some of hidden reviews too but how many you ? Whatever they are definitely less than my 1.5 thousand reviews. You can individually visit your reviews and edit and rectify them for possible policy violations.
You can read about it here in fixing reviews section.
Thanks for the reply but I dont understand. Why does it matter how many reviews I have made? What does that impact?
What are the violations, that is my question? I am just writing about the food I have eaten in restaurants and posting some photos of the food… I don’t know how I have violated any rules.
Thank you for the reply.
One of my appeals was rejected… so there must be an issue with my text? I dont understand what is happening.
@NNiM if you violated the policies then reviews must be hidden and if they are hidden how can others tell what’s violating the policy ? I just shared my experience ![]()
