Google Maps elimina sitios arbitrariamente

Hi @Carchi

If you check the list of categories Rock is not an approved category. The list of categories is how Google communicate what places can be added on Maps.

You may not agree but if everyone adds whatever they want Maps will be less helpful.

I hope the area in which the Rock is located is in the Map. Have you considered adding your photo to the park?

@Carchi

Please share the Maps link to the newly created copy.

Please share more information about the delete pin so the Googlers have a chance to find it. You might have a link to it in your email folder or in a list. Do you remember anything about the exact location, number of photos and reviews?

@DeniGu your help might be needed here after @Carchi provided more details.

Cheers

It would be very helpful if you would always use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply. Just hitting Reply does not ensure we get notified by email.

Because other rocks are on Maps does not make a Rock a tourist attraction.

If the specific category (rock) is not on the list of categories such places should not be on the Map. Creative use if the categories are discouraged and by doing so you risk that such places will be removed sooner or later.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/75fe3eTjsA5dwf6CA

This is unfortunately a very common issue: Google Maps approved an edit of a place flagged as “not existing”.

In this case it can be very important to have a link of the removed location, or a link to your review.

If the removal is very recent you may be able to search the area in Maps and to find the link, as it takes several hours for the place to disappear from Maps.

I see @MortenCopenhagen already tagged a Google Moderator, so please try to share with us the link, or at least a link to the position where the place is

I want to incor you that I merged your two posts about removed places.

Kindly try to locate and share a link as indicated in my previous reply.

This could help Google Maps to locate and fix the issue with the wrongly removed listings

Thank you
